New discoveries

About three months ago, I learned how to use I-Movie to help a fellow nursing buddy in making the slide show video for our Pinning Ceremony. The project turned out great! In fact all the professors, parents, and other attendees loved it. Some even said that it can be used as an advertisement for UIC's College of Nursing. Now that's a compliment. So today, I decided to put those learned skills and make another slide show video for my family using pictures from our 4th of July vacation to Door County. Unfortunately, I am unable to show you the video, however, below are some pictures of the beauty that Door County had to offer. Enjoy!

While working on this project, my mom decided to take on a project of her own. See, she's a pack rat, and today was the glorious day that she cleaned some stuff out. Woohoo! Of course, she decided to clean the box that hid all my grade school materials, including my report card from my elementary school in the Philippines. Then I was reminded that I did not always have the highest grade in my class. In fact, I was far away from it. It wasn't till I came to the US that I started getting good grades. No wonder when I came and visited the Philippines, no one could really believe that I actually graduated college. I pretty much received C+s and B-s. Sad....

So one more topic. Today, I saw two movies: Good Luck Chuck and Shut
ter. Both movies were OK. I was not expecting either one to blow me away, however, I was surprised with Good Luck Chuck. Not in a good way
though. I have never seen so many boobs in my entire life. I mean this movie was filled with boobs and very large women nipples. It was just strange and disturbing. Its a funny movie though, but I would not buy the DVD. Speaking of movies, my friend Irwin was telling me about the new Batman movie. He said it was better than the Transformer, so now, I'm really excited to see it.
Anyways, here's another video from youtube. Ryan's so funny!

Standing ovation for my first blog! =)

After a couple of months into the summer, mine finally started yesterday [07.17.08]. So why just yesterday you ask? After four years of grueling and sleepless nights in college, I thought I was done with studying and cramming as much information possible within 24 hours into my head. But I was VERY wrong. From May to this month, I was haunted and traumatized by the thought of the NCLEX!  It was so scary. The people who created that test should be imprisoned for imposing anxiety on people! Anyways, on the 15th of this month, I finally took the exam and two days later (yesterday) I am now a Registered Nurse. I bet Spongebob would be jealous if he found out. So now I have all the time in the world to dedicate to myself, but what to do with it, I have yet to decide. For the meantime my cousin-in-law inspired me to also start blogging, so I am.
Please do me a favor and visit her page. She's really awesome:

Speaking of her, I was over at her condo yesterday to show her some sketches I made for my friend's bedroom. She helped me tweak it a bit and
added more professional sense to it since she's an Interior Designer. She graduated from the University of the Philippines- Diliman. Yes, that's the Harvard of the Philippines. She drew a new picture (refer to the left). She's so talented, purely awesome, and has a really good heart. She's my favorite, just like I am her kid's favorite! =)
In addition to that, my cousin and her also took me out to celebrate! So I was very thankful for that! They're soooo nice and are so spontaneous, I'd never get bored hanging out with them. =)
So to end this blog, I'd like to share a funny video that I watched on youtube while at their place:

Enjoy!
ps: not all Filipino-beauty queens are not like that. I bet she's a nice person.
